“Croatia, full of life” is not a totally original slogan but it will attract a few more people to our beloved country. I pity all those who criticise and ridicule it just for the sake of being negative and destructive.

The only thing that bugs me is the fact that we paid for the slogan. There are thousands of Croatians, I am sure, who love Croatia and could think up a few suggestions for our tourist slogans in the years to come – free of charge! I would like to believe that I am one of those people. So, just today, I quickly activated my grey cells and thought up a few possible slogans. Here are some of them:

Croatia, gorgeous in the morning – joyful at night

Croatia, your favourite meeting place

Croatia, heaven on earth and beyond

Croatia, the place to share all year round

Croatia, your home away from home

Croatia, the place you’d love to take home

Croatia, the place you discover once and again

Croatia, the beauty that loves you back

It is possible that those of you who work at the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and other government or private organisations which are involved in tourism may like some of my suggestions. Please feel free to use them for I solemnly swear they are nothing more than my free of charge contributions. The best ideas do not come from the pocket – they come from the heart.
